Position: Farm Auditors (Self employed and paid a set fee per audit)

No of positions: 3

Locations: Co. Offaly , Co. Meath (south) and Co. Limerick (central)

You will be paid a set fee per farm audit. You will be expected to carry out a minimum of 10 - 15 audits weekly. You must cover your own transport and costs associated with farm visits.

Requirements:

  • Agricultural Degree / Similar Qualification
  • A good general knowledge of beef and sheep farming.
  • Must be familiar with modern Technology such as emails, Iphones etc.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out farm audits against the Bord Bia beef and lamb quality assurance scheme. (BLQAS)
Duties will include;

  • Arranging audits with individual farmers,
  • Visiting farms and conducting farm audits.
  • Farm audits will include the auditing of farm records, farm buildings and livestock.
  • Participating farms are audited at intervals of 18 months.
  • Farm Auditors are required to attend initial and on going training which will be provided by Bord Bia.
Additional requirements:

  • Good understanding of good farming practice
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to organise and efficiently conduct farm audits.
