Hours of Work: Mon, Tue, Wed or Thur, Fri: 8am – 5pm, Saturday 10am – 4pm

Job Description:
1. All aspects of Health & Safety management
2. Health and Safety Management of Crews
3. Management of a 10 vehicle fleet
4. Scheduling of vehicle servicing
5. Delivery of H&S training
Key Responsibilities: Health & Safety Officer
· Updating & Managing a SMS (Safety Management System).
· Compiling documentation for crew before the commencement of work –safety statements, H&S plans, method statements, induction, and traffic management plans (all site specific).
· Ensure the submission of documentation of each crew on a weekly basis – SSWP, GA forms, permits & daily logs.
· Induction of sub-contractors & employees.
· Ensure the submission of all documentation after completion of contract.
· Accident & incident investigation.
· Ongoing review and updating of all existing H&S documentation.
· Site Inspections/Audits.
· Liaise with relevant authorities & clients when required i.e. HSA, NRA, and County Councils etc.
· Liaise with H&S Consultants.
· Informing all relevant authorities of contracts before commencement of contract.
· Submission of all relevant documentation to authorities and clients before the commencement of work.
· Ensure maintenance & certification of all plant, tools & equipment.
· Compiling safety files after contract completion.
· Ensuring pre-qualifying questionnaires and completed by sub contractors and all relevant documentation is submitted before commencement of work.
· Development of H&S quality submission for all tender processing.
Key Responsibilities: Fleet Manager
· Co-ordinate the certification, maintenance, servicing & certification of all vehicles, equipment, plant & tools.
· Order all components required for vehicles with regard to servicing & maintenance.
· Co-ordinate vehicles requiring TAX and DOE.
· Order and source materials for mechanic upon request.
· Unloading and checking of deliveries and materials.
· Ordering PPE for the fleet.
· Stock-take monitoring of all equipment on site.
· Minor vehicle maintenance
Essential Qualities/Attributes
· Car Owner
· Clean Full Drivers License
· Truck Drivers License (desirable)
· Flexibility
· Excellent attention to detail imperative
· Good communication/organisational skills
· Ability to work on own initiative
Minimum Experience Required:
· 5 years+ in a highly regulated H&S environment - essential
· Fleet mgt exp – desirable
· Experience in Tender Quality Submission - essential
Qualifications Needed:
· Degree in Health and Safety
· Fork lift license (desirable)
· Safe pass etc
· Signing, Lighting & Guarding (desirable)
· Manual Handling Instructor (desirable)
Skills and Personal Attributes Required:
· Preferably trained and experienced in CSCS Signing, Lighting & Guarding design & set up
· Preferably trained as Manual Handling Instructor
· Excellent knowledge of H&S with regard to Construction Regs 2006, Safety, Health & Welfare @ Work Act 2005, General Application Regs 2007 & Traffic Signs manual 2008
