FRS Recruitment is currently hiring a SIP Telecoms Engineer for our client in Galway city. This is a rolling 2.5 year contract. This is a new position recently created due to expansion.

SIP Telecoms Engineer

Our clients communications solutions help companies increase employee productivity, improve customer service and reduce costs by integrating multiple forms of communications, including telephony, e-mail, instant messaging and video all across multivendor networks.

Job Description:

  • As a member of our clients Solution and Interoperability Test Lab, the engineer will be responsible for validating SIP trunk interoperability between the different VoIP service offerings provided by Service Providers and our clients products & solutions.
  • The engineer will be responsible for test plan development and execution, test environment configuration and maintenance, defect identification and tracking, and creation and publication of test results and Application Notes.
  • The incumbent will work closely with other engineers, developers, and architects within the Service Provider alliance team and across our clients company. It is also expected that the candidate will directly interact with Service Providers.
Background:

  • The candidate should have excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • A solid knowledge of IP telephony, data networking, contact center, and unified communications is essential.
  • 5-10 years of telecom experience with emphasis on SIP.
  • Solid understanding of SIP & H.323 technology and standards, Session Border Controllers, SoftSwitches, and Service Provider environments.
  • Some travel may be required to Service Providers.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills required including fluent English.
