We currently have a vacancy for a CMM Programmer for a role based in Cork.

Job Purpose:

As CMM Programmer you will be involved in standardising the site wide CMM infrastructure by facilitating, encouraging and coordinating continuous improvement and you will support day to day manufacturing requirements with respect to CMM’s

Responsibilities:

· Set-up and operation of inspection equipment

· Writing and editing CMM programs (PC-DMIS/COSMO/CALYPSO)

· Reading/interpreting engineering drawings and the application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5

· Investigate and learn new technologies within metrology

· CMM programming (modification/ control/ transfer of programs)

· Work with inspection engineering group to develop future CMM strategy

· Organise and control the calibration program for CMM’s

· Assist engineers with qualification and validation of new or changed CMM’s

· Develop and support training program of internal resources to an appropriate level

Requirements:

· The successful candidate will have a certificate / diploma in Quality / Manufacturing / Engineering with at least 3 years experience in CMM programming PC-DMIS/COSMOS/CALYPSO programming

· Knowledge of 21 CFR 820, 21 CFR 11 and European regulations associated with the medical device industry

· Proficient in metrology methods/technology

· Proficient in mathematical applications- Algebra, Geometry, & Trigonometry and Microsoft Word & Excel.

· Knowledge of mechanical inspection methods and tools used to determine product acceptance

· Familiarity with statistical analysis software.
